Daskalos - mit bürgerlichem Namen Spyros Sathi - der Magus von Strovolos, war ein spiritueller Meister, Heiler und eine faszinierende Persönlichkeit. In seiner Heimat (Strovolos ist ein Vorort von Nikosia, der Hauptstadt der griechischen Hälfte Zyperns) schrieb man ihm übernatürliche Kräfte zu und sagte ihm nach, er pflege Umgang mit Geistern; sein Name war gleichbedeutend mit Okkultismus.
